Candidates announced for local contest

Details of the candidates for the local seats of Griffith and Moreton have been released by the Australian Electoral Commission.

Running against sitting member for Griffith, Kevin Rudd are six other candidates. In addition to the already declared LNP and Greens, will be the Liberal Democratic Party, Family First, the Citizens Electoral Council, and an independent.

In Moreton, incumbent Graham Perrett will be challenged by four other candidates representing the Greens, LNP, Family First, and the Democratic Labor Party.

Voting is on Saturday 21 August, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Details of local polling booths are yet to be released.

  1. Our first priority is to ensure that Moreton & Griffith are kept in safe hands. 2nd Is to let the people know that we don't need another Cole day in Moreton. 3rd I call on Labor people to find another TV station other than 7 for their News and Current Affairs.
