Two successful events were held over the past month, with the Annerley Branch playing a key role as always.

On Saturday 16th October, the inaugural Community Safety Fair was hosted by State Member for Yeerongpilly, Simon Finn and held at the Moorooka State School.

The day highlighted a wide range of safety issues, with stalls from various State Government agencies, local City Councillor Steve Griffiths and other community groups such as Neighbourhood Watch. Annerley Branch members helped out on stalls as well as running the BBQ.

Trivia Night gets underway

The second series of the very popular "Battle of the Brains" Trivia Competition was held on Saturday 13th November, raising money for Simon Finn's next election campaign. The event was well attended, with supporters from as far away as the Gold Coast keen to take on the tough questions that the Trivia competition is renowned for.

After an entertaining, and tough, eight rounds of questions that included sport, history, popular culture, the ALP and the arts, a tie breaker was required to find the eventual winner. However, despite the inability of the tie breaker to find a clear winner - it was unanimous that the team from The Gap and the team organised by David Heron be declared 'joint winners'.

Thanks to everyone who supported the trivia evening, it was a fantastic event that will be back next year!
