Branch celebrates 100th meeting

The Annerley Branch has celebrated its 100th meeting by holding a free BBQ and reflecting on its past.

Meeting recently on Tuesday 2 March, Branch members attended a celebratory BBQ at the Annerley Community Centre. Also in attendance were ALP politicians from the three levels of government - Graham Perrett, Member for Moreton, Simon Finn, Member for Yeerpongpilly and Steve Griffiths, Councillor for Moorooka Ward.

Branch members present reflected on the last 9 years and 100 meetings, with each of the elected representatives congratulating the Branch on its milestone.

Branch Secretary, Rod Beisel, gave an overview of the past 9 years, expressing his thanks to all members who had helped build the Branch over that time. "There is no doubt we are a strong progressive Branch because of the efforts of every single member", he claimed.
